Jorge will be an Assistant Professor of Psychology and Philosophy (spring 2022). He’s interested in the mind’s subjectivity: how does it work, how does it emerges, and how do we know it. His interdisciplinary research program integrates tools from psychology, neuroscience, and philosophy to study the interplay between perception, consciousness, and introspection. Before joining Northeastern, Jorge earned a PhD from Columbia University and was a postdoc at Johns Hopkins. Jorge was born and raised in Mexico City, where he obtained an MA at Mexico’s National University (UNAM) and a BA from Universidad Panamericana.
